Many of the winners for the month of December held strong, reclaiming their positions for the first month of 2018. Of the few that were not so diligent, cigars such as New World by AJ Fernandez (Affordable category) and Fuente Fuente OpusX 20 Years Celebration (Dominican category) were happy to take their place.

The most noteworthy conclusion from these results is the second win in a row for the Liga Privada No. 9. With this win, the cigar has now claimed the top spot for three of the past four months, making it the first-ever cigar to be admitted to the Cigar Wars Hall of Fame for a second time! Astute CW voters may have noticed certain cigars with a star on the lower left corner of their icon—which signals the cigar as a member of the Hall of Fame. Liga Privada No. 9 will now show two stars in its icon.
