It’s a huge milestone for Cigar Wars this week, as we’ve finally reached a milestone of 300 cigars in the database! Okay, so in the grand scheme, we’ve barely scratched the surface… but let us assure you, with the amount of effort and detail we put into every cigar, 300 is no small task—adding over 200 over the course of the last year. When Cigar Wars launched, there were 100 cigars, giving users 4,950 possible battle combinations—compare that to today, where you could be presented with one of any 45,150 combinations! Expect that number to keep rising every week, making one of the most comprehensive collections of cigar rankings known to man.

Four our 300th cigars, we’ve chosen some doozies. All are either limited edition or small batch. This, of course, means they’re also all in the “Expensive” category, but that’s to be expected from a luxurious/celebratory selection of fine smokes! Only one cigar makes the “Maduro” category (just barely), with a fairly diverse selection of manufacturing regions—covering most of the biggest regions, with the surprising commission of Nicaragua—hey, those Nica smokes needed some competition, and now they’ve got it!

With these additions, there are now a milestone 300 cigars & over 45,000 battle combinations!

UPDATE: These cigars have now been ranked after their 1st week in the ring – see how they performed

El Oso Ursus

Warped El Oso Ursus cigarEl Oso “Ursus” by Warped is a limited edition version of the brand’s first cigar line. El Oso, often referred to as “The Bear”, incorporates 3 regular release sizes. Ursus uses the Latin translation for “bear”. The new size uses a corona gorda vitola and a covered foot.

El Oso Ursus is listed as “Other Country” because, even though it is manufactured in America, there are no American tobaccos listed in the blend—therefore we cannot consider it an American cigar.
