February’s theme was switching up the norm. Four category winners claimed top spots for the first time. Others, such as the Cuban, Nicaraguan, Affordable, and Natural category winners, returned to the top spots after five months (or more) since their last appearances. Camacho returned to glory in the Honduran category—topping the EIROA and Alec Bradley cigars that have dominated for the past eight months. Fuente remains the reining king of the DR (although watch out for the rising Davidoff cigars), with a surprising surge for the limited Don Carlos Eye of the Shark—with the cigar’s former record being third place in October, 2016.

Every month, five to twenty cigars are added to the Cigar Wars database in groups of five cigars. Seven days following a group’s debut, we rank each cigar based on its winning percentage after one week in battle. While our established leaderboard uses the Battle Rating score to rank cigars, we use winning percentage to rank Cigars of the Week to avoid the ever-fluctuating battle rankings throughout the week—which we feel are better suited for the day-to-day rankings. Therefore, the weekly rankings won’t be skewed by a single day’s votes when tallying up the scores.

These are the top 5 winning percentages (cigar’s 1st week, debuting in February, 2017) for a single week in battle:
