Former Hall of Fame winner Liga Privada No. 9 is back on top. Surprisingly, it’s the 1st monthly win for the cigar in 2017, last appearing as the Cigar of the Year winner for 2016! Other notable wins include two placements for Cigar Dojo collaboration cigars—Camacho ISBA & RoMa Craft Whiskey Rebellion—with Whiskey Rebellion taking the “affordable” category for the 2nd month in a row. The Cohiba Behike also came out strong, sealing the “Cuba” category for the 2nd month in a row, as well as gaining ground with the top spot for “natural shade” cigars. And finally, the longest streak in Cigar Wars has been dethroned, with OpusX 20 Years Celebration stealing the “Dominican” category from OpusX Belicoso XXX—which had won the category for the last 5 months straight!

Every month, five to twenty cigars are added to the Cigar Wars database in groups of five cigars. Seven days following a group’s debut, we rank each cigar based on its winning percentage after one week in battle. While our established leaderboard uses the Battle Rating score to rank cigars, we use winning percentage to rank Cigars of the Week to avoid the ever-fluctuating battle rankings throughout the week—which we feel are better suited for the day-to-day rankings. Therefore, the weekly rankings won’t be skewed by a single day’s votes when tallying up the scores.

These are the top 5 winning percentages (cigar’s 1st week, debuting in October, 2017) for a single week in battle:
