Unlike other year-end cigar lists, Cigar Wars’ list is built by the people. Thousands of votes are tallied throughout the year, each contributing to every cigar’s daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly ranking—making for an accurate look at which cigars actual smokers preferred throughout the 2017 calendar year.

In 2017, 52 cigars were added to the database, bringing the total possible combinations for cigar battles to over 64,000—adding nearly 20,000 combinations throughout the year. In addition, Cigar Wars users tallied roughly half a million votes in 2017, making for an incredibly accurate overview when averaged out over 12 months.
