Perdomo Cigars

Perdomo Cigars traces its roots back to 1930s Cuba, where Silvio Perdomo was trained in the art of cigarmaking at Cuesta y Cia. Silvio's son, Nicholas Perdomo Sr., followed in his father's footsteps, later joining him as an executive at the famed Partagas factory. Both men were known as strong opponents of the communist revolutionaries, with Silvio being imprisoned for more than 12 years and Nick Senior fighting as a guerrilla against the communist forces.

Nick Senior later escaped execution by communist forces, emigrating to the United States. He and his family eventually settled in Miami, where his son, Nicholas Perdomo Jr., established a small cigarmaking operation out of his garage in 1992. The modest company was named Nick's Cigar Co., which would later evolve to the juggernaut cigar operation now known as Perdomo Cigars.

Today, Perdomo is headquartered in Miami, where the company manages their own global distribution operation. Perdomo benefits from complete vertical integration, overseeing tobacco agriculture in Nicaragua's three primary growing regions; this includes farms, greenhouses, curing barns, fermentation warehouses, production facilities, packaging operations, and more. This Tabacalera Perdomo facility is among the largest in Nicaragua, being referred to as "El Monstro" (The Monster). With such control of the process, from seed to ash, Perdomo is capable of offering completely unique smoking experiences. The Perdomo profile helped to usher in the fuller-bodied experiences that dominate today's marketplace, featuring Nicaraguan puro cigar blends nearly exclusively throughout their portfolio.

The company remains family-owned, with Nick Perdomo Jr. operating as President and Chief Executive Officer. Nick's wife, Janine Perdomo, serves Vice President of Operations and his son, Nick Perdomo III, holds the role of National Director of Sales.
