The Cohiba Behike BHK is rolled at the famed El Laguito factory in Cuba. It was released in 2010 as a return of one of the rarest and most expensive cigars in the world—the original Cohiba Behike from 2006 (made to honor Cohiba's 40th anniversary).
Behike features immaculate construction, including a perfectly placed fantail cap. In addition, Behike includes the rare medio tiempo tobacco priming in the cigar's filler; this is a high-priming leaf that is found above the ligero grade (usually the highest priming), which is said to be harvested on only 1–10% of all tobacco plants. While medio tiempo was originally collected together with ligero leaves, the Behike helped to recognize the leaves as a separate priming; a technique now found outside of Cuba as well (most often in Nicaragua).
The cigar is a winner of a number of awards (including Cigar Aficionado's prestigious No.1 Cigar of the Year award in 2010) and is often considered among the best and most sought-after (continuously produced) cigars in the world.
