Protocol

Protocol (aka Protocol Blue) is the first release from Cubariqueño Cigar Company, launching in the summer of 2015. Cubariqueño began as a partnership between police officers Juan Cancel and Bill Ives, later expanding to include William Agathis and Kevin Keithan as partners. The company's primary brand is dubbed Protocol, sharing the name of their first cigar release and tying into the owners' backgrounds in law enforcement.

Protocol Blue is rolled at the La Zona factory in Estelí, incorporating a Nicaraguan-heavy blend that boasts a heady quadruple-ligero filler recipe. In the years following, Protocol Blue has been followed by other colorful additions such as the Red (Protocol Probable Cause), Gold (Protocol Themis), and Silver (Protocol Official Misconduct).
