While Honey & Hand Grenades is not a regular production release, it is potentially the most popular blend made by boutique brand Viaje Cigars. The line debuted in 2012, using 100% Nicaraguan AGANORSA tobacco, highlighted by a Criollo wrapper.
Cigar enthusiasts were drawn to the unique blend due to its small batch production (an initial shipment o 300 boxes), boutique craftsmanship (rolled at the esteemed Fábrica de Tabacos Raíces Cubanas S. de R.L. factory in Honduras), unique shapes (three figurados named for sharp weapons), and creative packaging (bright red foil-wrapper tucked under the recognizable bee/grenade logo).
After the initial batches of HHG cigars in 2012 and 2013, the cigars were not crafted again until 2016, with a November release; using the same blend and original three sizes. Information is not yet available as to quantities made for the 2016 batch, although it has been confirmed that production is handled at the same factory (Raíces Cubanas).
