General Cigar Dominicana

General Cigar Dominicana is the Dominican manufacturing arm of General Cigar Company, which is a subsidiary of Scandinavian Tobacco Group. Located in the country's Santiago region, the factory is the largest (70,000 square feet) in an industrial trade park known as La Corporation Zona Franca Industrial—an area designed to provide tax benefits and other incentives in an effort to spur economic development.

General Cigar Dominicana is vertically integrated, handling every process of the cigar making process, from seed, to fermentation, aging, cigar rolling, box manufacturing, and more. Being the largest manufacturer of Dominican cigars in Santiago, the factory produces more than 30 premium cigar brands (as well as contract brands for other companies), including some of the world's most well-known names, such as Macanudo, Cohiba, La Gloria Cubana, and Partagas, among others.
