Epernay is perhaps Illusione's most critically-acclaimed cigar to date. The line has made it onto Cigar Aficionado's Top 25 list on three occasions, scoring No. 3 at its peak. Epernay incorporates a surprising blend that contains no ligero leaves (the strongest tobacco priming), which gives the Epernay its smooth and complex identity—an absolute must-try for cigar enthusiasts.
This blend originally debuted in 2008 through the European Cigar Cult Journal 15th anniversary limited release. Since then, Epernay has garnered the most consistent and highest ratings amongst all cigars in the industry. Three Epernay sizes have collected Cigar Aficionado Top 25 ratings with the highest rating being #3 cigar in the world 2011. Epernay has been made into 9 unique and exciting sizes with a combination of Criollo and Corojo tobaccos. The cigar is finished with a superior grade Café’ Rosado coverleaf. The Epernay blend treats the palate to hints of coffee and honey, further enhanced through the olfactory with floral notes, and a creamy finish. A very complex cigar.
